Report & Sanction Policy
This Policy governs Magnasce's report handling, automatic hiding, user sanctions, and appeal procedures. It applies together with the Community Guidelines.
1. Report Reasons
Members may report posts, comments, or users for the following reasons:
- Religious disparagement / hate speech / violence or threats / obscene or illegal content / personal information exposure / spam or flooding / use contrary to a board's purpose / other (requiring moderator judgment)
2. Report Intake and Abuse Prevention
- The same user cannot report the same target more than once.
- Whether a report has been filed is visible only to the reporter; the reporter's identity is not disclosed to the reported party.
- Accounts confirmed to have abused reporting (false or retaliatory repeated reports) become subject to moderator review and may be sanctioned.
3. Automatic Hiding
- When reports against the same post or comment accumulate to 10, it is automatically and temporarily hidden.
- Hidden content is not visible to general users; the author is notified that it was "temporarily hidden due to accumulated reports."
- Automatic hiding is not final deletion — it places the content in the moderator review queue.
4. Report Handling States

| AUTO_HIDDEN | Temporarily hidden after 10 accumulated reports |
| UNDER_REVIEW | A moderator is reviewing |
| RESTORED | Judged unproblematic and restored |
| REMOVED | Removed for policy violation |
| WARNING_SENT | A warning was sent to the author |
| USER_SUSPENDED | The author's use is temporarily or permanently restricted |
| REPORT_ABUSE | Judged to be report abuse |
5. User Sanction Stages
Moderators apply the following stages according to the severity and repetition of violations.

| Stage 1 | Warning | Notice of the violation and a recorded warning |
| Stage 2 | 24-hour posting restriction | No posts or comments for 24 hours |
| Stage 3 | 7-day posting restriction | No posts or comments for 7 days |
| Stage 4 | Permanent suspension | Permanent restriction from using the Service |
- During a posting restriction, some features such as reading remain available (per implementation policy).
- For serious violations — such as clearly illegal content, threats, or disclosure of personal information — the stages above may be skipped and higher sanctions (removal, permanent suspension, etc.) applied immediately.
- Re-creating an account to evade a sanction is grounds for additional sanctions.
6. Moderation Principles
- When restoring, removing, warning, or suspending, moderators record the basis for the decision, and an operations log records who handled what and when.
- The operations log records the handling history, but the original text of posts and comments is never stored in logs.
- Moderators strive to act on fair and consistent standards.
7. Appeals (Restoration Requests)
- A member whose content was hidden or removed, or who was sanctioned, may file an appeal by email to hmnc21@gmail.com.
- An appeal should identify the subject (content or sanction) and state the grounds.
- Moderators review the appeal, decide whether to restore or uphold, and communicate the result. (Whether a separate result notification is provided follows service policy.)
